Princess Kate announces her comeback to public events and offers her first update since announcing her cancer.

Since she disclosed that she was receiving chemotherapy and had been diagnosed with cancer, Kate, the Princess of Wales, has been a global sensation in people’s thoughts and hearts.

Kate’s prolonged absence from the public eye is hardly surprising. However, she broke her silence today, providing her first cancer battle report and announcing her first public appearance.

Kate said that although she was ‘not out of the woods yet,’ she will be returning to the public eye this summer,

starting with the Trooping the Colour ceremony on Saturday, in a message that was made public this afternoon.

The yearly celebration of King Charles III’s formal birthday takes place in London. Kate said in the statement,

‘I hope to attend a few public engagements this summer and am looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.’

‘I am developing my patience, particularly in the face of uncertainty. embracing each day as it comes,

paying attention to my health, and granting myself permission to use this crucial time for healing.

For the first time, the Princess of Wales also discussed her struggle with cancer, admitting that she has obstacles to overcome but that she is making good progress overall.

She wrote, ‘Over the last couple of months, I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement.’

‘It has truly made a huge impact on William and me, supporting us both during some of the most trying times.’

‘I am progressing well, but there are good days and bad days, as anyone undergoing chemotherapy is aware.’

You have to give in to your body’s need for rest on those awful days when you feel weak and exhausted.

However, you want to take full advantage of feeling well on your good days when you feel stronger.

‘I will continue to receive treatment for a few more months. When I’m feeling well enough, I enjoy participating in school activities,

spending time doing things that make me feel good about myself, and beginning to work from home occasionally.

A picture of Kate standing outside next to a tree was also included in the statement. It’s the first official image of the queen since the palace published a Mother’s Day photo of Kate and her kids that was purportedly altered,

sparking a media frenzy and a lot of rumors about her health. Since Kate declared in January that she would be admitted to the hospital for what was purported to be an abdominal operation,

her health has been in the public eye. However, speculation that her health was worse than the palace was acknowledging was stoked by her protracted absence from the public eye.

Following the ‘Kate-Gate’ media frenzy and the altered photo, Catherine revealed via a video message that she was receiving chemotherapy,

had been diagnosed with cancer, and would be extending her leave of absence in March. King Charles III has also been battling cancer in the interim. Since disclosing his diagnosis in February, he has resumed his public obligations.
