The Grammy-winning singer and her husband David Furnish have been mastering motherhood since 2010. Together, they are parents to two sons who were born via surrogate.

The 77-year-old Elton John got into a civil partnership in 2005 after meeting British-Canadian filmmaker David Furnish, who produced Billy Elliot the Musical Live, around 31 years ago.
In the UK at the time, same-sex marriage was illegal. John says that although at first he didn’t want kids, a 2009 trip to an orphanage in Ukraine completely changed his mind.
The men filed for adoption after meeting a 14-month-old HIV-positive boy, but their civil union was disallowed,
therefore their adoption was denied. The singer of ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight” was also viewed as being ‘too old.’
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer stated to Rolling Stone in 2016 that ‘I always said no to having kids, because I’m too old, too set in my ways, too selfish, and the lifestyle doesn’t suit me.’
However, I stated, ‘This boy we met was attempting to communicate with me.’’And I replied, ‘Let’s give it a shot.’
Elijah and Zachary They attacked it. Zachary Furnish-John was welcomed by the renowned vocalist and his partner on Christmas Day, 2010, through a surrogate.
The couple released a statement saying, ‘At this very special moment, we are overwhelmed with happiness and joy.’ ‘We are incredibly happy and proud parents of Zachary, who is healthy and doing really well.’
The same covert surrogate gave birth to their second baby, Elijah Furnish-John, on January 11, 2013.
The singer of ‘Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me’ described the woman who is ‘part of [the] family” to People, saying, ‘She [the surrogate] is a wonderful, kind and loving woman.’
‘All we hope is that Zachary and Elijah are healthy and happy,’ continues 61-year-old Furnish.
We hope they grow up to live their own lives and be who they want to be, not who we want them to be.

Following the UK’s legalization of same-sex unions, John and Furnish tied the knot on December 21, 2014, officially forming their family.
‘We don’t think it’s necessary to pursue legal action further. However, since we’ve made a lifelong commitment, we believe it’s critical to act now and seize this wonderful legal opportunity.
When same-sex marriage became legal in the UK in 2014, Furnish stated, ‘We all live by example.’ This allowed the couple to get married. The couple’s ring bearers were their gorgeous sons.
