The great-grandpa was overcome with emotion at hearing the young boy’s name and was immediately in awe of the newest member of the family.

Parents frequently give their children names that have special meaning for them. Every name is extremely valuable, whether it is the name of a loved one or something else entirely.

When Kailey Blair d’Adesky, better known on Instagram as @kaileypblair, decided to choose a name for her kid, she knew exactly the ideal, sentimental choice.

The mother was ecstatic to share a video showing her source of inspiration for the name. She was in the hospital bed with her baby, having just given birth to a son.

Still, she chose a name she knew right away. Sitting on one of the seats, Kailey’s grandfather was admiring the new member of the family.

While chatting with the baby, other family members presented him to his new great-grandpa. One of them said, ‘This is your great-grandpa,’ with excitement.

The young child was unaware that he was in his mother’s arms, but the great-grandpa stood up from his chair and walked up to the bed with all of his might and a sweet grin.

He gave the boy and his mother a tender look and, despite his advanced age, made an effort to get down on their level so they could converse.

The baby had a name tag and his onesie lovingly placed on him. The great-grandpa was so full at the time that he failed to see it.

One of the family members exclaimed, ‘Read his name!’ The elderly man bowed down and did his best to read the name on the tag.

He moved closer as Kailey pointed it out to him with great excitement, his smile remaining unwavering.

Looking at the young child, the great-grandpa was clearly filled with emotion, but little did he realize that a bigger surprise was in store for him.

‘Decker Ray, Decker Ray!’ he said, his smile widening somewhat. How lovely! ‘How wonderful!’ exclaimed the great-grandpa,

gazing in astonishment at the boy. One of the members said, ‘You know who he’s named after?’ as their voice broke with grief.

‘Yes, no, I’m ecstatic!’ shouted the great-grandfather. He was so full that he started crying too and had to grab something to calm down.

He continued to look at his great-grandson and granddaughter while crying. The elderly man gently grasped the mother’s outstretched hand and tapped it.

His eyes welled with tears as he added, ‘I love you.’ ‘I also love you!’ the mother exclaimed. ‘My Dandad loves me more than anyone else does.’ Very touched, our son will always carry a part of him,’ the mother captioned the photo.
