Carrie Underwood played a practical joke on her Nashville admirers by going undercover as a boot store singer.

In the global center of country music, Underwood surprised fans by singing about them while she was filming them. After a few belly laughs, she opened up.

For Jimmy Kimmel Live, the video was filmed prior to Underwood hosting the Country Music Awards. After learning the names and origins of the three women in the Nashville Cowboy store, she begins her first segment by serenading them.

The women giggle once they realize something is wrong, and then Underwood leaves, with one of them saying, ‘No way!’ Watch the video portion that follows.

When Underwood approaches, the woman nearly flinches, but she asks if it’s him, and they share an embrace.

‘You made my trip-this is so exciting!’ exclaims the beaming woman to the performer. After that, John and his girlfriend go shopping, and things go crazy.

John gets to hear Underwood sing, and if he shakes his ‘derriere,’ he can get his boots free. Nonconformist John dances a little, then, encouraged,

spins the boots above his head and grooves. He won the two over with his dancing skills. As a frequent guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Underwood gave a performance of ‘Love Wins’ (see below).
