Paul Potts originally dazzled the globe on Britain’s Got Talent twelve years ago. America’s Got Talent:
The Champions, the international edition of the program, has advanced the show’s inaugural winner to the championship round. Last night (January 21),
Paul’s incredible operatic voice won over many admirers once more, and he easily advanced past the competition’s first round.
His rendition of ‘Caruso’ captured the hearts of the “superfans,” a panel consisting of one AGT fan from each US state,
who cast their votes for him to advance to the finals, where he will face fellow BGT icon Susan Boyle.
Along with magician Darcy Oake, former winner Ashleigh Butler and her new dog Sully, dance group Light Balance,
and sword swallower Alex Magala are among the other former BGT acts that have already been eliminated on the global version.
Musician Tokio Myers, former champion Lost Voice Guy, and shadow performers Attraction are still performing.
Filming for the upcoming season of Britain’s Got Talent has commenced, featuring Ant McPartlin’s comeback after a nearly year-long absence.
