One of the most remarkable events of the 2024 Oscars ceremony was the Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, who hosted the ‘In Memoriam’ tribute alongside his son Matteo.
Andrea and Matteo paid tribute to other celebrities who had lately died away, including Tina Turner,
Robbie Robertson, Matthew Perry, and Richard Lewis, by performing his well-known 1995 ballad ‘Time To Say Goodbye.’
Bright blue costumes adorned the set and the singers sang a duet inspired by a love of opera, which was flawlessly performed by Andrea Bocelli’s son alongside his famed voice.
A homage to deceased celebrities was displayed through a sequence of short images that complemented their smooth performance of ‘Time To Say Goodbye.’
They created the ghostly illusion of support dancers by having them shimmer in the light from behind them.
The two had such a natural, powerful, and intense vocal chemistry that it moved several bystanders to tears.
