According to reports, Ellen Degeneres is ‘done’ with Hollywood. At a recent comedy show in Santa Rosa, California, the former talk show host disclosed her choice.

The unexpected news was made by the 66-year-old comedian during a question-and-answer segment of her performance, according to SFGate.

A fan inquired as to whether Degeneres would make Broadway or movie appearances following her stand-up tour.

The comedian just said, ‘Um, no.’ ‘This is the final occasion you will encounter me.’ I’m done after my Netflix special.

In response to a fan’s plea for her to return to her iconic Pixar character Dory, Degeneres said, ‘No, I’m going bye-bye, remember.’

Degeneres ended her long-running talk show two years ago due to claims of a poisonous work environment; she gave no explanation for her choice to leave Hollywood.

‘I was expelled from the entertainment industry for being’mean.’’ During a tour stop in San Diego, she made a joke,

‘You can’t be cruel in show business, they’ll boot you out). Degeneres doubled back during her set in Santa Rosa, insisting that it was never her intention to hurt anyone,

instead of offering an apology for her alleged acts. ‘I can be difficult, irritable, and demanding at times. ‘I am a powerful woman,’ she declared.
