A military veteran of 88 years old wins hearts and receives millions of views with his rendition of “Wind Beneath My Wings” in memory of his late wife.

In honor of his late wife, an 88-year-old war veteran sang a rendition of “Wind Beneath My Wings” on stage during the 2019 Britain’s Got Talent tryouts.

Two weeks after marrying Joan, Colin Thackery, a member of the 45th Regiment of the Royal Artillery, almost lost his life in the Korean War. Joan regrettably died in 2016.

Colin found the bravery to pay tribute to his late wife on the Britain’s Got Talent stage, even though the occasion carried a heavy emotional burden.

He performed a passionate performance of the iconic song by Bette Midler with a strong sense of resolve.

Everyone in the audience was moved to tears by Colin’s genuineness as he performed. His moving performance struck a deep chord, perfectly expressing the essence of both love and grief.
