Doctors said the proud grandmother would not live to see the day, but she danced into the night at her granddaughter’s wedding. For a number of years, Doreen Cooke has struggled with aortic stenosis,
a cardiac ailment that prevents blood flow via the aortic valve. Late last year, she was informed that neither medication nor surgery would help,
and her family was warned to brace themselves for the worst. Nevertheless, the 93-year-old cheerfully participated in the week-long celebrations in Marbella, Spain, despite the chances against him.
“I’ve cherished Marbella for ever.I had a great time. It was rather pleasant to have everyone in one place. She was referred to as “the life and soul of the party” by the bride, her granddaughter Rhea Cross.
“Having her there for the entire trip was so wonderful,” the 27-year-old East Yorkshire resident remarked.
in particular, knowing that the doctors didn’t think she would survive. She feels very honored to having witnessed it. All through the night, she was living her finest life.
The wedding guests, according to Rhea, were in Spain from June 25 to July 3. “We embraced each day as a chance to enjoy ourselves.”
Doreen was dancing the night away even though she couldn’t walk very far. In the video below, she can be seen dancing among her loved ones and using a microphone to sing karaoke.
After having too many drinks, Doreen is even seen in one iconic picture dozing out by the beach the following day.
Doreen has spent much of her time recuperating at her Hull home since her return to the UK. “It was excellent.
I adored it,” she remarked. “After worrying that I wouldn’t make it, my favorite part was watching my granddaughter get married.”
