After a stranger’s Instagram post went viral, a shy senior earns a modeling career at the age of 70.

A retiree claims that she had low self-esteem her entire life, but now that she’s been approached by a stranger on the street who wanted to take her picture, she can be seen on catwalks.

Irishwoman Anne Flanagan always considered herself to be a serious person and had never modeled before.

However, she regained her confidence and her willingness to have a little fun after meeting by coincidence with a Belfast-based photographer in January.

I spotted someone approaching me with a camera,” said the seventy-year-old, who is usually pleased to give directions to a visitor. Directions were not needed by Christopher Ward.

He said he wanted to take her picture because he manages the Model Strangers Instagram feed. She said okay once he showed her the account, and the message quickly gained popularity.

The comments from people expressing how empowered the images made them feel thrilled Anne. She was soon recognized by strangers on the street.

“A woman who stopped me in a coffee shop asked, ‘Are you Anne?'” “They adore witnessing an elderly person granted a voice.”

She was reportedly “quickly snapped up by a clothing brand, a shopping center fashion show, and a modeling agency,” according to SWNS.

“Having my pictures taken makes me feel better,” Anne remarked. “I’m happy to represent older women if that’s possible.”

The mother of two worked all her life as a corporate services director, social security officer, and career counselor; therefore,

her daughters felt that she ought to be doing something a little more enjoyable when she retired.

A nearby boutique hired Anne to model their clothing in April after seeing her pictures. “I felt so ill and unprepared the day of the shoot.” But she entered, being authentic, and claimed to have “enjoyed it enormously.”

That was the first time I had ever ventured into this strange realm. She has an additional engagement this autumn as a model for the Victoria Square “Park and Stride” fashion show.

“Aging does not mean the end of it,” she asserted. The number of elderly individuals that stop me and talk to me has made me incredibly happy.

It’s ‘awesome to see someone our age who has been noticed for sticking out,’ they say. “I just think it’s fantastic that an older woman is receiving such positive media attention.”
