An honest Uber Eats driver who is working to pay for a wedding makes hundreds of dollars after putting a letter in a Chipotle bag that went viral.

The world reacted when an Uber Eats driver sincerely requested a small act of kindness to enable his fiancée to have the wedding of her dreams.

For more than a year, TikToker Paul Slobodzian has been driving for Uber Eats as a side gig in order to save money for his wedding.

Erica Hernandez placed a Chipotle supper order one evening, and Slobodzian picked it up and brought it over.

Something handwritten was hidden in the bag. We are appreciative of your purchase! To give my fiancée the wedding she deserves, I’m delivering for about three others on the side. The note said, “Any additional tip through the app or Venmo is greatly appreciated.”

Hernandez posted it on her own TikTok account after being moved by his sincerity and commitment.

It wasn’t much, but it was the least she could do, she reasoned. Erica stated in her TikTok video, which soon became popular on the app, “Hopefully this reaches the right people, but I don’t have a lot of followers.”

His account received a deluge of kind donations after he included his Venmo ID on the note, including a $500 donation from Chipotle.

In a video posted on his TikTok account, Paul stated, “My fiancée and I have been overwhelmed in the best way

possible trying to figure out how to respond to people and show how much this means to us.” The comments were pouring in, asking for updates. “I just wanted to say thank you so much, to start.”

He describes how he and Aly, who was also driving for Uber Eats, were able to give up their side gig,

concentrate on wedding preparation rather than wedding expenses, and—above all—spend more time together instead of working seven days a week.

The pair, who had first connected on TikTok while they were sophomores in college, returned the favor by putting aside $1,000 for Erica,

who was invited as an honoree to the wedding and whose suggestion to post it on the platform was the inspiration behind so much goodwill. With the Venmo donations, the two had earned more than enough to fund the event.
