Something about the concept sounds charming and inviting.When a guy named Jack Shelly finishes renovations on his grandfather’s 200-year-old cottage in Mullinahone, Ireland, tourists can have this kind of magical vacation.<\/p>\n

A villa built in 1959.
\nWhen Jack’s grandfather was 29 years old, he bought the cottage.
\n‘My father, his parents, and his five siblings and sisters all grew up in this two-bedroom house,’\u00a0Jack explained in his video. ‘With single-glazed windows and no insulation.’<\/p>\n

That residence was home to Jack’s grandfather until his death in 2010 at the age of 89.It needs significant repairs.The cottage was left to Jack’s father, and it fell into disrepair for the next ten years.<\/p>\n

‘It’s been abandoned and deteriorating since then.’ ‘I decided to bring it back to life at the beginning of this year,’ Jack told Newsflare.<\/p>\n

Increasing the cottage’s profitability
\nNot only did Jack resolve to update and repair the cottage, but he also planned to transform it into something new: a business.<\/p>\n

He plans to renovate the unit for an Airbnb rental with a budget of slightly around $30,000. Before the renovation could begin, however, there was a lot of work to be done.<\/p>\n

‘My father and I started cleaning it up and getting rid of anything unnecessary.” “After the clearing out was completed, it was time to begin the renovation’\u00a0Jack explained.<\/p>\n

Jack had another fantastic idea at that point.<\/p>\n

The entire process of transition\u00a0was filmed.He began documenting his progress on social media.And something about his work piqued the interest of others on TikTok and Instagram.<\/p>\n

Jack’s films became viral, and thousands of people were monitoring the renovation progress.<\/p>\n

‘I started chronicling the adventure on TikTok and Instagram around this time.’\u00a0 This video became viral, and within 24 hours, I had 45,000 followers.<\/p>\n

Since then, I’ve been meticulously chronicling the entire process and have thoroughly loved communicating with others via these channels'” Jack continues.<\/p>\n

A one-man operation
\nThe majority of the work was done by Jack himself. On the video, you can see him hacking away at large clumps of vegetation that had grown over the house.Cutting down walls, breaking windows and sinks, and jackhammering the concrete base.<\/p>\n

Jack also used a bulldozer and a powerwasher on the land.There was a great deal of work to be done. Roof slats, insulation, windows, electrical, and plumbing all needed to be replaced. And he’s not finished yet, but the effects thus far are incredible.<\/p>\n

‘I had hoped to finish it by the end of August, but it now looks like the end of October. ‘I plan to rent it out on Airbnb once it’s ready.’<\/p>\n

We’re not sure if Jack is finished yet, but the house’s outside looks a lot different than it did before.<\/p>\n

The exterior was transformed from a filthy white to a clean grey with a lovely pinkish red door.
