One woman and the small house she created are living the life that so many of us fantasize of.
\nMandy is a New Zealander who has created something amazing out of two train wagons.<\/p>\n

We get to view one of the most gorgeous small homes on a very stunning plot of land in a video tour offered by Living Big in a Tiny House. Mandy, the woman who built everything, is in charge of the house and the land.<\/p>\n

It all started when Mandy and her ex-husband decided to restore two completely abandoned railroad coaches.<\/p>\n

Despite their desire to move to the seaside, the couple chose to try something new. They slowly restored the wrecked cars over the years, making them ready for a magnificent home. <\/p>\n

Even more remarkable, they did so on purpose to preserve the structure’s history. The cars are still on their original wheels and contain all of the standard railcar comforts.<\/p>\n

The land itself is breathtaking.<\/p>\n

When you walk outdoors and see the sweeping views of New Zealand’s mountains and farmland, you’ll swear you’re in a Lord of the Rings movie! The stars are extremely clear at night, as Mandy explains, and are not sullied by any artificial light from a nearby city. <\/p>\n

The difficulty of accessing basic necessities like water and power is one of the disadvantages of living in such a region. But it’s all worth it for Mandy. As we settle into the house, we get our first glimpse of Mandy’s daily routine.<\/p>\n

The home’s interior is finished in a lovely redwood that has the appearance of an old-fashioned railcar. A gorgeous oriental rug and leather chairs in the space’s living room make you feel like you’re traveling by rail at the height of technology.<\/p>\n

The kitchen is fully functioning and as warm as the rest of the structure.<\/p>\n

Without a kitchen, what home is complete? When it comes to cuisine, Mandy’s railway house does not disappoint. It comes complete with a stove, oven, sink, and counter space to rival any apartment on the planet.<\/p>\n

Despite not spending much time in the kitchen (as Mandy describes), it is always prepared to serve a hot dinner on demand.<\/p>\n

The master bedroom and bathroom are completely functional and add the finishing touch to the home’s already welcoming atmosphere.<\/p>\n

When you visit this home, you aren’t sacrificing anything with a full shower and bedroom. While some people enjoy the “camping” vibe provided by the vast outdoors, this modest home does not deny you of the necessities.<\/p>\n

While everything is lovely, it is in the details that the true beauty lies.<\/p>\n
