\ncreative person at any age can achieve success, the main thing is not to give up.<\/p>\n
But that’s not all, because she is an example of a woman who never wanted to get married, but found her love at 40 years old.<\/p>\n
Why the famous actress, who was against marriage all her life, agreed to get married after 11 years of relationship?.<\/p>\n
Actress and director Taylor Hackford (The Devil’s Advocate, Ray) met on the set of ‘White Nights’ in 1985. By that time they had already a stars.<\/p>\n
Their first meeting didn’t go so smoothly. Taylor made Helen wait a long time for the hearing to begin.<\/p>\n
‘Then it just became known to us. ‘She is a wonderful person, but at that moment she could not restrain her anger,’ the man remembered.<\/p>\n

Helen and Taylor began dating and then living together. The wedding, however, has not been discussed for 11 years. <\/p>\n
The famous actress has never hidden that she does not want to get married or that she has nothing against marriage at all.<\/p>\n
‘It simply did not belong to me. ‘It took me a long time to understand myself,’ Helen admitted.<\/p>\n
In 1997, Helen agreed to marry Taylor. In one of the interviews, the actress told why she suddenly decided to get married at the age of 52.<\/p>\n
‘We realized that we would always be together, our families wanted it too. But, truely, the only real reason was economic considerations. I think getting married as an adult is great.<\/p>\n
And, hey, getting married at a young age is a terrible idea. ‘Many modern girls have a princess complex – they want a wedding to wear a beautiful dress to be the center of attention all day,’she said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the actress noticed that couples break up very easily, while in order to live happily together, both partners have to make great efforts.<\/p>\n
The Hollywood star has not once admitted that she did not want to have children of her own.<\/p>\n
‘I never regretted it,’ said Helen. ‘At first I thought I was going to be a mother, but it did not happen. ‘I have always been very busy with my work, motherhood has never been my priority.’<\/p>\n
After meeting her future husband, Helen became friends with his two sons from previous marriages. The actress said that most of all she liked his full devotion to children.<\/p>\n

Husbands and wives rarely go to restaurants and say that they do not need romantic dates. However, Helen said that every time before the premiere of the play, her husband sends a bouquet of yellow roses to cheer her up when she gets on stage.<\/p>\n
‘I would be horrified if Taylor gave me a Valentine’s card. Even on birthdays we forget to give presents. ‘We just try to be attentive to each other every day,’ the famous actress confessed.<\/p>\n

Despite almost 40 years of marriage, Taylor starred in Helen in only two films: ‘White Nights’ and ‘Love Ranch’ in 2010. <\/p>\n
In 2022, however, the couple will work together again as a director-actress on the set of a film about retired detectives. They will be accompanied by Al Pacino, Morgan Freeman and Danny De Vito.<\/p>\n
