He was an ideal choice for Dirty Dancing because of his acting and dancing skills. Swayze frequently got the chance to dance, which allowed him to showcase his diverse set of abilities. Only a small number of his devoted fans are aware of his talent at singing, though.<\/p>\n

According to apost, the late actor and Larry Gatlin performed an emotional rendition of the well-known song Love Hurts. <\/p>\n

This rendition was presented at a tribute to the late and renowned Roy Orbison. The two’s straightforward yet powerful performance mesmerized the audience.<\/p>\n

Swayze can be seen sitting next to Larry Gatlin in the video as he begins to play his guitar. With just one mike stand in front of him, Swayze begins singing the song’s opening lyrics.<\/p>\n

You could not have asked for more from Swayze and Gatlin’s performance of Love Hurts. Their solos are extremely stunning, and their harmonies are great.<\/p>\n

Country Rebel claims that the history of the song Love Hurts is extensive. The song was originally recorded by the Everly Brothers in 1960, but Orbison’s version is what made it famous. <\/p>\n

His song was a hit on numerous international charts, notably those in Australia, where it peaked at No. 5 while not doing well in the US.<\/p>\n

This incredible tribute was organized less than two years after Orbison passed away in 1988 to raise money for a cause close to Orbison.<\/p>\n

The roles he played in the films Dirty Dancing and Ghost made Swayze, who was born in 1952, the star he is today. <\/p>\n

Prior to joining the Harkness and Joffrey Ballet schools in New York City to pursue his studies, he originally received training at his mother’s dancing studio in Houston.<\/p>\n

In 1979, he made his film debut in Skatetown, USA, and afterwards took part in a variety of television projects.<\/p>\n

He made a comeback on the big screen in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders alongside co-stars Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, and Diane Lane.<\/p>\n

He received a stage IV pancreatic cancer diagnosis in the middle of January 2008. Doctors informed Swayze that his cancer had spread in April 2009; 20 months later, in September of that same year, at the age of 57, and with family by his side, he passed away from the disease.<\/p>\n
