At the age of seventeen, she began her career as a teacher by instructing the drumline for her school’s Feeder Corps.<\/p>\n

She has expertise performing in a wide variety of musical settings, having played drums in polka bands, rock bands, theater groups, church cantatas, symphony orchestras, jazz trios, and even accompanying school concerts. <\/p>\n

When Nana Dorothea returned to Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night show, she found herself in a drum-off with Questlove. <\/p>\n

Known by his stage name Questlove, percussionist Ahmir Thompson has won a Grammy for his work with the group The Roots. <\/p>\n
