The Death of Reba’s Mom <\/p>\n
The mother of the country musician received a bladder cancer diagnosis in 2020. She started talking to her longtime friend Rex Linn just before she passed away. <\/p>\n
When she called him for solace, he replied and said she could chat to him whenever she wanted:We had just learned that MaMa has bladder cancer when I was texting you about it. <\/p>\n
You replied, \u2018You just feel free to call me anytime you want to talk,\u2019 and I immediately stopped texting. <\/p>\n
Rex also mentioned how Reba had helped him in a similar way after his mother passed away in 1998. When his mother was laid to rest, the singer gave him a comforting call. <\/p>\n
He treasured that small act of compassion so much that almost two decades later, he remembered it and returned the favor.<\/p>\n
Since 1991, the two had been close friends. After seeing one other on \u2018Young Sheldon,\u2019 they revived their old relationship in January 2021. <\/p>\n
Reba was invited to dinner by Rex, and they had a great time. Even though they weren’t aware of it, Reba gushed that this was their first date.<\/p>\n
