It all started when two of Jennifer Husband-Elsier and Melissa Akacha’s closest friends approached Lynn Schutzman’s vehicle in a Target parking lot in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. <\/p>\n

\u2018Our first question to her was simply, ‘Are you okay?’\u2019 Jennifer explained that they then discovered the terrible tale of the lady who was living on the streets. <\/p>\n

Lynn told the other ladies that she had been suffering from a number of ailments since her spouse died unexpectedly. <\/p>\n

The rising expenditures of her medical treatment eventually stopped her from being able to pay her mortgage.<\/p>\n

The former pharmacist was forced to pack all of her belongings, including her two dogs, into the back of her SUV. <\/p>\n

She was unable to qualify for cheap housing choices because she was unable to part with her dogs. <\/p>\n

The two women began posting about Lynn on Nextdoor, a neighborhood social networking site, in hopes to learn more about her and connect with others who may have known her. <\/p>\n

Melissa, the pharmacist, inquired of other individuals in the business about Lynn to learn more about her. <\/p>\n

She discovered that the lady living on the block was a well-known and recognized pharmacist mentor.<\/p>\n

\u2018Everyone knew Lynn was a genuinely wonderful, kind, kind, and generous person who had fallen on hard times.\u2019 That gave us the confidence to continue our efforts to aid her.” <\/p>\n

Lynn was paid to stay at a motel by the two women, and after they posted about her on Nextdoor to inform her neighbors of her dilemma, some people rushed to her parked vehicle in Target to bring her meals, blankets, and even food for her pets. <\/p>\n

Jennifer and Melissa both realized that, while they were appreciative for the gift, there was still more work to be done.<\/p>\n

As a result, they created a page for her on the crowdsourcing platform. \u2018Over the span of more than two years, this lady has gone completely unnoticed…by every resident of our town!\u2019<\/p>\n

She has been unwilling to notify anyone, even her doctors, that she does not have a place to live until now, and it is critical that we aid this lady. NO ONE should ever be compelled to live their lives in the way she does.\u2019<\/p>\n

After only 10 days of fundraising, they had raised enough money to buy Lynn her very own studio apartment. <\/p>\n

During the month of May, about a dozen people traveled to King of Prussia to help paint Lynn’s new house and decorate it with donated furniture before she moved in. <\/p>\n

Lynn was finally able to move into her studio apartment in May, and a video camera was there to capture the moment she set foot in her new home for the first time.<\/p>\n
