Steve Watts and Jeanne Gustavson met while attending college. A secret romance that lasted for eight years began at that time. <\/p>\n

Although they were a match made in heaven, Jeanne’s family didn’t approve because Steve is black. <\/p>\n

Jeanne remarked, \u2018I was terribly hurt and very confused by what my family did and said. We had to remain secretive about our relationship.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jeanne maintained daily touch with Steve, who had obtained a master’s degree in education, even after she received a nursing degree and became independent. <\/p>\n

Due to the ongoing rejection and conflicting work schedules, their relationship eventually broke down. <\/p>\n

Jeanne ultimately made the decision to call it quits. She was sorry for it both at the time and ever since. She admitted, <\/p>\n

The two continued living their lives, but they never lost touch. Jeanne eventually located Steve, and after a string of miracles, she discovered him residing in a nursing facility.<\/p>\n

In addition to losing his capacity to talk following two strokes, he was homeless and suffered the infection-related loss of a leg. <\/p>\n

It was still love at first sight despite the passing of the years, the graying of the hair, and the health difficulties. <\/p>\n

Steve’s health has even improved, and the two couldn’t be happier. In fact, Steve’s ability to stand up is one of his objectives. <\/p>\n

Jeanne assures him that nothing is insurmountable and that they can return to being together, despite everything they have been through. <\/p>\n

The world is suddenly taking notice of their relationship. Along with other media sites, People magazine also reported their tale. <\/p>\n

But Jeanne and Steve don’t care about that. What important is the information they have been holding back but are now eager to divulge. <\/p>\n

We’re getting married, Steve remarked with a smile on his face in between bursts of laughter.<\/p>\n
