A video of a mother and her 11-year-old son’s emotional first meeting has gone viral. <\/p>\n

The video has been seen over 7 million times since it was posted to TikTok on January 8.<\/p>\n

According to an interview with Good Morning America, Sommer Jean said that the emotional moment was not entirely staged.<\/p>\n

\u2018I was in the bridal room when…\u2019 She explained that she had requested the staff if they could retrieve her son and bring him inside. <\/p>\n

The priceless moment was photographed by her hairdresser.<\/p>\n

Mekhi Sheffield,11 years old, was completely taken aback when he entered the bridal room and saw his mother in her wedding dress for the first time. <\/p>\n

Mekhi became emotional as she praised her kid and asked whether he was prepared to lead her down the aisle.<\/p>\n

Jean wiped away her son’s \u2019happy tears\u2019 as the two were embracing. <\/p>\n

Mekhi said he was overwhelmed by the sight of his mother and the realization that the day they had waited for had finally arrived. <\/p>\n

My mother and I have been through a lot together, and as I thought back on all of the experiences we’ve shared, I realized, \u2018Wow, we’ve truly gone through a lot. Now we’ve arrived!’\u2019 he exclaimed on GMA.<\/p>\n
