<\/p>\nDespite their split, Liam Neeson still has the highest admiration for Helen Mirren. <\/p>\n
In a recent interview, Liam Neeson called Helen Mirren \u2019a fantastic person\u2019 and an actor when asked about their former relationship. <\/p>\n
The Oscar winner, 77, whom Neeson dated between 1980 and 1985, said of him: \u2018I should be so <\/p>\n
delighted and be glad to having spent three or four years with that person, she is just out of this world.\u2019<\/p>\n
Although though their romance ended quite some time ago, both celebrities have always spoken fondly of their past together.<\/p>\n

In a cover article that appeared in the November 2022 edition of People magazine, Helen Mirren discussed her relationship with Liam Neeson. <\/p>\n
We were not intended to be together in that sense, she remarked, but we adored one another anyhow. <\/p>\n
I still love him unconditionally, Mirren continued. He is a truly exceptional person.<\/p>\n

Neeson claims that he fell in love with Mirren very quickly after meeting her when they first met on the set of their 1981 movie Excalibur. <\/p>\n
He admitted as much on The Graham Norton Show in 2018: \u2019I remember being on the set and standing with <\/p>\n
Ciar\u00e1n Hinds as Helen marched towards us dressed in her full Morgana Le Fey costume and we both went, ‘Oh f\u2014-.’\u2019<\/p>\n
After dating and cohabitating for a while, Mirren began a relationship with director Taylor Hackford, <\/p>\n
whom she had first met in 1985 while attending an audition for his film White Nights and who she later married in 1997. Together, the couple has two kids.<\/p>\n

Michael, who is 27 years old, and Daniel, who is 26 years old, are the couple’s two sons. Neeson later wed Natasha Richardson in 1994. <\/p>\n
A skiing accident left Richardson with severe force injuries, which led to his death in 2009 at the age of 45. <\/p>\n
Since then, the actor’s ability to maintain his level of activity has been greatly reliant on his employment.<\/p>\n

The oldest son of Neeson, Miche\u00e1l Neeson, chose to change his last name from Neeson to Richardson in 2018 as a way to honor his late mother. <\/p>\n
