The US Army Band, sometimes known as \u2018Pershing’s Own,\u2019 is an ensemble of musicians and vocalists from the Army Band. <\/p>\n

The ensemble has admirers of all ages and is well-known for its performances. <\/p>\n

They sing a variety of music, such as Irish, bluegrass, country, and Americana. The US Army Band, Pershing’s Own, <\/p>\n

recently performed with one of their bands, Country Roads, and it was a huge success. The reason <\/p>\n

is because the group covers various well-known songs and adds a country and bluegrass flavor to them.<\/p>\n

Master Sgt. Dean Woods plays guitar and sings lead for the Country Roads band, and Master Sgt. Marlisa Woods plays fiddle and sings backup. <\/p>\n

Moreover, it features Sgt. 1st Class Michael Kramer on banjo and dobro, Sgt. 1st Class Tracy LeBrecque on female lead vocals, and Master Sgt. Jon Voth on pedal steel. <\/p>\n

There was also Sgt. 1st Class Eric Seay on bass, Master Sgt. Larry Ferguson on drums, and Staff Sgt. Jan Knutson on the mandolin. <\/p>\n

SGM To the online audience, Dave Brown introduces the featured band, \u2018Country Roads\u2019 (these are usually virtual concerts of the US Army Band). <\/p>\n

He tells the audience that the band is among the most well-known and entertaining groups and that he was there to see them, live from Brucker Hall. <\/p>\n

The female lead vocalist, Sgt. 1st Class Tracy LeBrecque, kicks off the performance with a lovely rendition of \u2018Traveling Soldier\u2019 by Bruce Robison. <\/p>\n

The famous song describes the story of a soldier who starts up a discussion with a Vietnamese schoolgirl and their heartbreaking relationship. <\/p>\n

The following song is a bluegrass rendition of \u2018Rocket Man\u2019 by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, performed by Master Sgt. Dean Woods. He performs Jimmy Fortune’s \u2018More than a Name on a Wall\u2019 as well. <\/p>\n

The band closes their performance with the cheerful song \u2018Thank God I’m a Country Boy\u2019 by John Martin before the skilled lead singer performs a <\/p>\n

rendition of the 1971 classic \u2018Country Roads\u2019 by John Denver. During the final performance, SGM Dave Brown concludes by wishing everyone a safe trip home.<\/p>\n
