A little over four hours were spent doing the implant operation. His family wanted to document Sawyer hearing them for the first time after the successful surgery. <\/p>\n

At the clinic, when his implant was gradually cranked up to hear the outside world, the occasion was caught on camera. <\/p>\n
When Sawyer hears his mother say, \u2018I love you,\u2019 he smiles so broadly and starts to dance a little. He was experiencing an intense moment of joy, as seen by the look on his face. <\/p>\n
