<\/p>\nJake and Erin Herrin were happy to welcome their two girls, Kendra and Malia, at the end of the winter of 2002.<\/p>\n
When people found out that the babies were Siamese twins, they had a lot of different thoughts.<\/p>\n
The parents were thrilled that their girls wanted to join the family, but they were also worried about what life would be like for them in the years to come.<\/p>\n

Kendra and Malia lived together for four years before their parents decided to split them up so that each child could experience life on their own.<\/p>\n
The girls only have two legs, but each one of them can be used to move.<\/p>\n
They got used to it in the end and were able to run and walk properly again.<\/p>\n
In 2006, the twins had surgery to separate them.<\/p>\n
There were 31 doctors and nurses on the scene, and they cared for the girls for more than 24 hours.<\/p>\n

When the news media found out about what happened, Kendra and Malia’s fame started to grow almost right away.<\/p>\n
The twins have lived on their own for 14 years, ever since they were born.<\/p>\n
They had to get used to a new way of life, which is understandable, but they were able to do so over time.<\/p>\n
Most of a girl’s education takes place at school, but some of it can also happen at home.<\/p>\n
Both girls like to draw, and neither of them is especially bad at it. This is another thing that shows how talented the girls are.<\/p>\n
Kendra and Malia are great role models for people their age, and they show that there is always a way out of a bad situation.<\/p>\n
Their peers think of them as heroes at school and have a lot of respect for them.<\/p>\n

The girls have reached this look now that they are 18 years old.<\/p>\n
The sisters have busy lives, but sometimes they get time apart so they can travel to different parts of the world.<\/p>\n
The girls just got out of driving school, so they are very good at driving.<\/p>\n
The sisters talk about strange things that have happened to them on their YouTube page and other social media sites.<\/p>\n
Tens of thousands of people feel warm and fuzzy toward the twins.<\/p>\n
The Herrin sisters talk to the mother of Kelly and Carter, who are Siamese twins who share a mother.<\/p>\n
They give her advice based on what they have learned from their own lives and help the babies in any way they can.<\/p>\n
