He noticed that his child was hiding his scar, which he was proud of, and he wanted to show him that he was not the only one who felt that way.<\/p>\n
Dad got the same pattern tattooed on his own body to help his son feel less self-conscious about his birthmark.<\/p>\n
The father went to Juicy Quill Tattoo thinking that the tattoo process would take a few hours. Instead, it took thirty hours to finish the tattoo, with the first session taking about four hours.<\/p>\n

Derek Sr. was determined to show his son that he wasn’t alone and that he was proud of his scar, even though it would hurt him and take a long time.<\/p>\n
When Derek Sr. and his family got back to the pool, Derek Sr. took off his T-shirt to show his son the tattoo he had gotten, which was a copy of his son’s birthmark.<\/p>\n
When the child saw that his father had done this for him, he couldn’t believe it. He was so happy he couldn’t hold it in.<\/p>\n
The little boy also took off his T-shirt to look at his scar and compare it to the tattoo on his father’s arm. Because of this, he felt a lot better about himself and no longer cared about his scar.<\/p>\n
Because his father made fun of him in the tattoo parlor, Derek Jr. now has a better sense of self-worth and is less self-conscious about his birthmark. It was well worth the trouble.<\/p>\n
The son’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth have grown a lot because his father loves and supports him no matter what.<\/p>\n
