<\/p>\nAccording to a close friend, Alana Stewart, “Charlie’s Angels” actress Farah Fawcett was committed to beating cancer all the way to the end.<\/p>\n
Doctors initially pronounced Fawcett to be cancer-free following her original anal cancer diagnosis in 2006. However, a short while later, in 2007, she learned that the disease had come back.<\/p>\n
Sadly, the disease returned a second time, metastasizing, spreading to her liver, and ultimately taking the TV legend’s life at age 62.<\/p>\n
The aforementioned Stewart, the actress’s longtime partner Ryan O’Neal, and another close friend, Mela Murphy, were by Fawcett’s bedside when she passed away.<\/p>\n

Stewart, who is currently president of the Farah Fawcett Foundation, recently opened up about her friend’s battle with cancer and said that she has no intention of giving up the fight.<\/p>\n
Stewart told Fox News Digital, \u2018Farrah was a very determined person in everything she did.\u2019\u2018She viewed her struggle with cancer as one she was bound and determined to win. She disliked losing. <\/p>\n
She was a fierce rival. She was adamant about winning this conflict. She was driven to launch her foundation, manage it, and lead a full life.<\/p>\n
Stewart continued, \u2018She persisted when many others wouldn’t. She underwent numerous grueling treatments. She handled everything with such tremendous dignity, elegance, and bravery.<\/p>\n

\u2018It’s disappointing to report that she lost this conflict, but I believe it was her best moment. She demonstrated her capabilities to the globe. <\/p>\n
She cherished life. She wished to endure. She wished to be present for both Ryan and her son. Nobody wants to pass away, <\/p>\n
but she was so determined to keep going. And she persevered with such tenacity till the bitter end.<\/p>\n
In fact, Stewart said that a nurse had even remarked on Farah’s unwavering determination to survive in the face of insurmountable circumstances.<\/p>\n

\u2018I’ve never seen somebody battle like this,’ a nurse said about the last two months of her life. Stewart remembered, \u2018I’ve never seen somebody so determined to survive.<\/p>\n
Before either became famous, Fawcett and Stewart reportedly initially met while attending commercial auditions. Of course, Farah soon got a part in Charlie’s Angels, and it would forever alter her life.<\/p>\n
Fawcett ran into Stewart once again at a tennis tournament for celebrities after the popular program ended. <\/p>\n
Following their reunion, the two developed a friendship that lasted the rest of Fawcett’s life and beyond.<\/p>\n

In reference to her late friend, Stewart remarked, \u2018She’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever known.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018She was able to spot details in a contract that agents and lawyers would have overlooked. She has a bright mind. <\/p>\n
She didn’t, in my opinion, receive enough credit for her intelligence. She was hilarious. She loved to laugh and had a terrific sense of humor.<\/p>\n
She was similar to the popular girl you wanted to hang out with in high school. She was a fantastic sculptor as well. She was not required to read another person’s lines. She only needed to be herself.<\/p>\n

Stewart continued by telling Fox that they had rejoiced when they learned that Farah was cancer-free. Sadly, scans conducted three months later revealed that the cancer had aggressively spread back.<\/p>\n
We all rejoiced when the doctor first told her she was cancer-free, Stewart said. It was simply wonderful news. <\/p>\n
Three months later, we discovered the cancer had returned extremely aggressively. She also developed hepatic damage. A poor diagnosis was made.<\/p>\n
Fawcett made an effort to stay bright and optimistic despite all the difficulties, establishing a foundation to promote awareness of and support anal cancer research. <\/p>\n

The Charlie’s Angels actress maintained hope despite the fact that her condition was getting worse.Seeing her in those final several months was difficult, Stewart admitted.<\/p>\n
\u2018I know at first she was so thrilled and eager to return to her life. Then again, she was simply so weak. <\/p>\n
Just now did things start to become worse. She yet retained her sense of humor. She was always kind to everyone, <\/p>\n
