<\/p>\nSteve Irwin, star of Crocodile Hunter and adored conservationist, passed away in a devastating stingray accident in 2006, leaving fans all over the world inconsolable.<\/p>\n
His tragic death at the age of 44 ended his and his wife Terri’s 14-year marriage, which had been a lovely love tale. This week, the pair would have commemorated their 31st wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n

Their children Bindi and Robert both uploaded adorable flashback photos in honor of the event, paying homage to their famous parents and their enduring love story.<\/p>\n
Bindi posted a picture of herself on Instagram along with a text that expressed how the love endures even <\/p>\n
16 years after Steve’s passing. \u2018A love like this is eternal,\u2019 Bindi penned. \u2018To my amazing parents, happy anniversary.\u2019<\/p>\n

During the couple’s 30th anniversary, Terri posted a throwback photo of her own, writing, \u2018What an adventure Love and legacy live on.\u2019<\/p>\n
Terri and Steve’s romance was amazing. They connected immediately due to their shared love of animals, and they immediately fell in love.<\/p>\n
Terri had a passion for helping animals before she met Steve because she was born into a family of environmentalists <\/p>\n
and her father frequently brought animals in need home. She operated Cougar Country, a private rehabilitation center. The moment she met the future \u2018Crocodile Hunter,”\u2019she fell in love.<\/p>\n
She said, according to the Daily Mail, \u2018I wasn’t even dating, I wasn’t even looking,\u2019 on the Australian program Anh’s Brush with Fame. <\/p>\n
I met Steve when I was 27 years old and assumed that my life would revolve around my career. We fell in love right away.<\/p>\n

He was the \u2018most incredible guy,\u2019 according to her, and she was devastated to learn he had a girlfriend, only to learn that his “girlfriend” was actually his dog.<\/p>\n
The two fell in love quickly, got engaged, and were wed on June 4, 1992, in Eugene, Oregon.<\/p>\n
It was the start of a wonderful relationship. Together, the two ran the Australia Zoo and rose to fame in the media around the world as the Crocodile Hunter TV series’ leads.<\/p>\n

When Terri’s husband passed away, she was only 42 years old, and others have wondered if she will ever find love again.<\/p>\n
It was a once-in-a-lifetime relationship, therefore Terri had little interest in finding new love after Steve passed away in 2006.<\/p>\n
She reportedly said to the Courier Mail in November that \u2018Steve was it for me,\u2019 according to Yahoo Lifestyle. <\/p>\n
\u2018I keep saying this, and I think maybe 15 years later people are now starting to believe me. \u2018That’s just how things are. I had a lifelong supply of affection, which was enormous.<\/p>\n
\u2018I believe that other couples may feel awkward when you become a young widow because they may wonder, ‘Oh well, now that she’s single, <\/p>\n
is she looking around?’ Additionally, my male friends feel more at ease because they realize I’m not after them. I’m too preoccupied to pursue anyone.<\/p>\n

In 2017, she admitted to Access Hollywood, \u2018I really don’t think I would have married if I hadn’t met Steve.\u2019 And he continues to be very dear to me.<\/p>\n
And I do a lot of excellent conservation work and have lovely kids. I don’t feel lonely personally, but I am lonely for Steve.<\/p>\n
\u2018Mom had her soul mate, and mom and dad will always be married and together,\u2019 Bindi continued. \u2018I find that to be lovely,\u2019 someone said.<\/p>\n
The Irwin family has preserved Steve Irwin’s legacy. Bindi and Robert have continued their father’s <\/p>\n
work as conservationists and TV personalities, and Terri has continued to perform amazing work at the Australia Zoo.<\/p>\n
