<\/p>\nNot all heroes have capes. They might merely decide to have a huge impact on children’s life. One of them is Lamont Thomas, <\/p>\n
who made the decision to adopt five siblings simultaneously in Buffalo, New York, in October 2019.<\/p>\n
Due to unfavorable perceptions of single adults’ capacity to raise children in the absence of a motherly figure, <\/p>\n
adoption is frequently challenging for them and even less likely for unmarried guys. Fortunately, Lamont has raised <\/p>\n
a lot of kids throughout his life, whether they are his biological kids or kids he is foster parenting.<\/p>\n
Over 33% of Americans have thought about adopting, yet only 2% have actually adopted a child or children, according to the Adoption Network. <\/p>\n

Adoption can in a variety of forms, including private and open adoption. The former suggests that the biological <\/p>\n
parents of the adopted child are no longer active in their life and that the adoptive parents are the child’s only caregivers. <\/p>\n
The latter choice is more adaptable and enables the youngster to keep in touch with both his or her birth parents and adoptive parents.<\/p>\n
There are many obligations associated with choosing to start a family, but it is obvious that Lamont’s love transcends any potential issues. <\/p>\n
His justification for taking in the five siblings, who ranged in age from one to five, was simple: they would have been split up otherwise.<\/p>\n

Lamont Thomas has always been devoted to supporting young people. He demonstrated this once more on October 17, <\/p>\n
2019, when he adopted five siblings. Lamont is now the proud father of 12 children as a result of the adoption’s completion.<\/p>\n
According to this 2019 story from ABC News, the children Lamont recently adopted are five, four, three, two, and one years old. <\/p>\n
The single father had seven previous kids before this adoption. This is on top of the numerous foster children he has cared for over the previous 20 years.<\/p>\n
Lamont’s journey to parenthood started in 2000 when he decided to become a foster parent in order to take care <\/p>\n
of a particular friend’s child. Lamont has two biological children, Anthony and LaMonica, who are also part of his brood.<\/p>\n
Lamont has never refused to accept a child. Whatever the case, Lamont obviously makes an effort to put others before himself. <\/p>\n

Germayne and Tremayne, twins, were adopted by Lamont in 2007, and then Jamie and German. According to ABC News, <\/p>\n
Lamont adopted Michael, the first child he had ever fostered, after these first four adoptions.
\nLamont told CBS News, \u2018I just hated to see him in the system. He was a good young man.\u2019<\/p>\n
Michael has established a nice life for himself and is obviously appreciative of Lamont for taking him in. <\/p>\n
He is a nurse right now, according to CBS News. In his own words, \u2018I don’t believe that I would be the person that I am today without the morals that he instilled in me, the extended family that I have now.\u2019<\/p>\n
As a father figure, Lamont has either taken on the tremendous responsibility of adopting the children he takes <\/p>\n
in or has raised them as foster children until they are able to leave the system and go back to their family.<\/p>\n
Prior to learning that one of his former foster children’s children needed to be taken in in order to prevent a breakup, Lamont believed he had completed adopting children. <\/p>\n
He said, \u2018They had them in four different homes and cities,\u2019 in an interview with Good Morning America in 2019. They deserved to be raised like siblings, and that was my battle.<\/p>\n
Jamel, 4, Nakia, 3, Major, 2, and Michaela, 1, were placed in different families, as were Zendaya, 5, Jamel, and Nakia. <\/p>\n
Lamont was heartbroken, but he was determined that the siblings would get back together. Lamont said the following in a CBS News interview:<\/p>\n
They deserved to grow up together, so I had no choice but to help them.<\/p>\n
The children are now being raised by Lamont alone, but he has emphasized that he is not doing so alone because he has a large support network of relatives and friends. <\/p>\n
He is also open to the notion of dating, but only with someone who shares his commitment to raising the kids.<\/p>\n
Lamont obviously gets a lot of energy from these little ones, and he is ecstatic to be able to take care of them. <\/p>\n
Hopefully, his tale will encourage others to consider adopting or fostering needy kids.<\/p>\n
