The stepfather thought the gift his stepson had given him was already fairly important until he knew there was another surprise in store for him.<\/p>\n

Blake Wilson, currently 34 years old, has been Tyler Dukes’ stepfather since he was 13 years old.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that they are not blood relatives, their genuine affection for one another can undoubtedly teach us something about unconditional love. <\/p>\n

Tyler wanted to surprise his dad on Father’s Day with a gift that would express how much he cared for Wilson as his father.<\/p>\n

Wilson may be seen unwrapping Tyler’s gift and finding a picture frame with a poem that Tyler penned himself as a dedication to Wilson in a family video.<\/p>\n

Many might contend that you are not my biological father, but we both understand that this is false.<\/p>\n

You have supported me like a true father throughout everything we have been through together… <\/p>\n

Despite the fact that we are not blood relatives, the love and trust you have bestowed upon me are an inestimable gift.<\/p>\n

Is a valuable gift that never ends, and that, my friend, is what qualifies you as a Real Dad in my eyes. Could we please formalize this?<\/p>\n

Wilson was in tears, but it wasn’t the conclusion it was the fact that Tyler himself had given him such <\/p>\n

a wonderful gift. He eventually found an envelope that had been taped to the back of the photo frame.<\/p>\n

He tore open the package, bursting with joy to see adoption papers! Tyler had submitted the legal papers asking <\/p>\n

for his name to be changed from \u2018Tyler Dukes\u2019 to \u2018Tyler Wilson,\u2019and Tyler wanted his name to be changed officially in this way.<\/p>\n

He hoped Blake would step up and become his \u2018true dad.\u2019 According to Tyler’s mother, Angela Wilson, “Blake has <\/p>\n

been Tyler’s father since he was 13 so they have been really close and you couldn’t tell they weren’t biological.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Last year, he approached me and declared that he wanted to use Blake’s name and that he wanted it to be formal and legitimate.<\/p>\n

We never really brought up the idea with Blake because he was already acting as his father in every other way. <\/p>\n

He wanted to do it on Father’s Day so that it would be more significant and memorable for everyone involved.<\/p>\n
