The Rocket Man’s farewell tour “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” began in 2018, but its final, tearful performance was only this past Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to his official website, John’s last concert occurred on July 8 at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. However, the iconic musician has since hinted that we may see him again in the future.<\/p>\n
Instead, John’s concert on Saturday was the final performance of a traveling career that spanned half a century. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There were more than 300 performances on this tour. John’s website claims that over 6 million people from all over the world tuned in to watch the shows.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Anderson Cooper of CNN from 2018, John explained that wanting to spend more time with <\/p>\n
his family\u2014wife David Furnish and their two sons\u2014was a major factor in his decision to retire from touring.<\/p>\n
Having children \u2018had changed our lives,\u2019 and by 2015, \u2018we sat down with their school schedule and said I’m going to miss too much of this,\u2019 the Your Song star explained to Cooper.<\/p>\n
The weekend of John’s farewell tour date was an emotional one, as it marked the end of a chapter in one of the most successful musical careers in history.<\/p>\n
