Everybody who auditions for programs like The Voice, American Idol, and America’s Got Talent has a motivation for doing so. <\/p>\n

Most people aim to become rich and famous and work in the entertainment industry. Others use their audition <\/p>\n

to pay tribute to a loved one who has passed away. One young man, though, had a different reason for participating in America’s Got Talent. <\/p>\n

Trent Toney, a 30-year-old firefighter from the Portland, Oregon, region, told the panel of judges during his audition that he wanted to win his wife back. <\/p>\n

Trent’s candor regarding his reasons for competing on the competition shocked all of the judges. Heidi Klum, though, went a step farther. <\/p>\n

As soon as Heidi entered the room, Trent called his ex-wife Faith. After a while, Faith takes up the phone, and Heidi answers and keeps her on FaceTime during Trent’s interview. <\/p>\n

After a brief back-and-forth with the judges, Trent’s audition is eventually discussed. Trent played the keyboard and sang an original song he had written for and about his ex-wife.<\/p>\n

The young man was exceptional; he is trying everything in his power to get his ex-wife back. He has a wonderful voice! <\/p>\n

The lyrics have a tangible sense of passion and emotion. He wrote and sang about the love of his life, thus it’s clear that he put a lot of himself into this song.<\/p>\n

The studio audience gave the young man trying to win back his ex-wife a tremendous round of applause and a well-deserved standing ovation. <\/p>\n

Trent gave a genuine and emotional performance that was praised by all four judges. Trent, according to Heidi Klum, sounded fantastic. <\/p>\n

Trent’s courage in telling his tale to the audience and being candid with them received praise from Simon Cowell.<\/p>\n

Actually, I thought that was extremely daring,\u2019 Simon replied. \u2018I mean, to explain everything to us. Not from me. Really, I wouldn’t.<\/p>\n

In the end, the young man receives four yes votes from all four judges.<\/p>\n
