In the caption of the YouTube video, Philip writes that his father was very upset by the death of his Maltese, who had to be euthanized at the age of 15. He tells:<\/p>\n

We were all very worried about the death of an old dog. And then one day my father came home and showed <\/p>\n

Philip gave his father six months to recover. After that, he and his mother decided to try to find him a new dog. <\/p>\n

Shortly before Christmas, they went to the same place where they had taken their beloved Maltese many years ago. <\/p>\n

Philip says: \u2018I grabbed him, and he immediately began to wag his tail, exactly like our old lapdog, so I immediately understood yes, this is exactly the dog we need\u2019<\/p>\n

After that, Philip decided to give his father an unexpected gift: \u2018So we took it and brought it home. <\/p>\n

Mom went inside and asked my father to help me bring the food (that\u2019s why he waves his arms like that, he\u2019s unhappy that the lazy son is sitting in the car and <\/p>\n

Philip’s father saw a new puppy in the back seat of the car and the sight immediately cured him of his displeasure. <\/p>\n

He immediately begins to talk to the dog and pour out his feelings to him, in a word, he reacts in the way that people usually react to pretty puppies. <\/p>\n

Philip asks: \u2018Do you know what kind of breed it is”? The father, in response, raises an inquiring look at his son and declares: <\/p>\n

\u2018Maltese\u2019? Just an adorable look! YouTube commentators even had a real contest trying to describe this look, awarding epithets such as \u2018poignant\u2019and \u2018unique\u2019.<\/p>\n
