58-year-old reflection on parenting, Davis said she has no regrets about having children later in life.<\/p>\n

No, I don’t because I adore my kids, Davis replied in reference to having children later in age. \u2018I don’t believe I was prepared (before). In my mind and emotions, I wasn’t there yet.<\/p>\n
Davis feels it is her duty as a white mother of two African American children to further her education and give Gemma and Wilson a sense of community. <\/p>\n
She has highlighted the value of conducting research, forging connections, and making sure her kids have access. <\/p>\n
Kristin has taken proactive steps to recognize and prepare for any difficulties her children may have as a result of their race.<\/p>\n
Fostering a strong sense of self-esteem and pride for her children is part of Davis’ commitment to provide a pleasant environment for them. <\/p>\n
She frequently gives Gemma words of affirmation, praising the beauty of her hair, the color of her skin, and her all-around toughness. <\/p>\n
