The Cervantes determined that the bowl was a charger after conducting a thorough examination: \u2018It’s an oversized dish that they would have maybe used to serve oranges or as a large, dramatic display piece.\u2019<\/p>\n

He clarified that the object had Chinese roots and made mention of the long-standing custom of Japanese collectors buying celadon goods.<\/p>\n

The label on the package provided obvious information about the item, so the appraiser couldn’t help but express his pleasure at learning its contents.<\/p>\n

The dragon is magnificent. The glazing is flawless. And there aren’t many traces of aging in this. <\/p>\n

Thus, I wouldn’t hold it against you or anyone else if you looked at it without fully understanding the history. <\/p>\n

You can see the excellence and beauty of it. However, the Yongzheng era lasted from 1722 to 1735,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n

The expert then inquired about the elderly woman’s assessment of the Celadon charger’s worth.<\/p>\n

She estimated that it might cost roughly $1,000 based on her understanding of modern ceramics.<\/p>\n

The rising Chinese porcelain market, prospective bids, and buyers, he continued, might result in offers of up to $80,000 to $120,000. <\/p>\n
