Businesses that remained in operation fought valiantly to survive while many were forced to close and fire staff. <\/p>\n
As a result, a program called \u2018Tip Challenge\u2019was introduced to help restaurant personnel in 2020.
\nThe custom became well-known <\/p>\n
after stars like Donnie Wahlberg paid $35.27 at one of his favorite eateries in Massachusetts and left a $2,020 tip.<\/p>\n

It’s also important to note that Donnie didn’t make a big deal out of his hefty tip; instead, the restaurant made it known.<\/p>\n
Tom Selleck, Donnie’s buddy and employee, seems to have had some influence, though.<\/p>\n
Towards the end of 2020, the Blue Bloods actor reportedly gave a server a $2,020 tip when they were having lunch in a New York restaurant.<\/p>\n
Donnie Wahlberg, Tom Selleck’s Blue Bloods co-star, tweeted about Tom’s charitable act: \u2018I found out that my TV dad, Tom Selleck, <\/p>\n
has generously accepted the #2020TipChallenge at Elios Upper East Side!\u2019 \u2018Dad, I love you.\u2019

who received the tip from a different source, never heard from Selleck about it. Tom never brought it up to me, <\/p>\n
he says. Since he did it, we have filmed three dinner sequences for \u2018Blue Bloods,\u2019 but he has never told me.<\/p>\n
Tom wrote to his lucky waiter, \u2018For Elios, I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘tip challenge’ <\/p>\n

I don’t know about you, but I believe this is the news I was hoping to hear today.<\/p>\n
This year has seen a strange transformation of the world, but we must not lose hope as long as we uphold our beliefs and keep in mind that we will come out stronger on the other side.<\/p>\n
