Hero Captain Kody Kermerling and his twin children, <\/p>\n<p>who are college-aged, are at the focus of this specific tale. But he paid a special visit to the University of Missouri for one of the most important games of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Organizing the unexpected visit involves everyone at the college. The twins&#8217; coach persuaded them to recognize their father as the &#8220;Veterans United Hero of the Day&#8221; during the game.<\/p>\n<p>We had no idea that our dad was going to be there, Micaela said, \u2018We were cheering at the Mizzou basketball <\/p>\n<p>game and we just got told that we were going to go and represent our dad out there for the Veterans United Hero of the Day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Micaela was turned around by a hand while the females were cheering on the ground. My first thought was, \u2018Who is grabbing me? What&#8217;s going on?\u2019 I then recognized it was him when I turned around.<\/p>\n<p>The moment the twins realized it was their father, they burst into tears and embraced him. Giving up valuable family time, such as dropping off your girls at college, <\/p>\n<p>is a common form of sacrifice.
