He first planned to put aside a small sum of money and mix work with pleasure. He started gathering one-cent coins in 1970.<\/p>\n

However, he eventually became so absorbed that he was unable to quit. For 45 years, he collected coins.<\/p>\n

He was left without a place to store them as a result, yet he was afraid to use his savings account.<\/p>\n

Otto asserts that he developed a dependence on his pastimes. He liked going to the beach and collecting money there.<\/p>\n

His pals all wanted to know how much money he had accumulated. The man wanted to check his savings account after 45 years to see how much money he had amassed.<\/p>\n

However, it was difficult to count so many coins. He had to take all the coins by car to the bank. Bank employees were surprised to see so many coins.<\/p>\n

They have never seen so many boxes of coins, despite the fact that people routinely visit the bank to exchange their spare change for banknotes.<\/p>\n

The employees counted the money using an automated system despite their shock, and Otto was paid $5,000 for them. It isn’t a huge sum.<\/p>\n

However, he gathered quite a collection considering that he only collected one-cent coins. <\/p>\n

Otto had long wanted to travel, but he always had to put money up for more important expenses.<\/p>\n

He decided that he deserved this 45-year vacation this time. With his money, he took a break and invented a new hobby for himself.<\/p>\n
