<\/p>\nAs an adult, it can be awkward to be the focus of attention as everyone sings \u2018Happy Birthday\u2019; after everyone finishes singing, <\/p>\n
what are you expected to do for the next 30 seconds? In what spot should you rest your palms? Is it all right if you join in?<\/p>\n
Rhett Flener, age 3, is completely at ease. On January 1, the sweet little boy turned 3, and his parents posted a video of the celebration online that will make anyone’s heart melt.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Rhett underwent reconstructive bowel surgery within his first few months of life in addition to being born with Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome). <\/p>\n
Since then, several infections, including pneumonia, have kept the infant in and out of the hospital. <\/p>\n
But the happiness in his eyes is so contagious that you’d never know he’s had so many health problems!<\/p>\n

In the video his parents provided, Rhett seemed delighted with his birthday cake, particularly the \u20183\u2019 candle. <\/p>\n
A broad smile then appears on his face as his parents start to sing, followed by what can only be described as joyous laughter.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
After the song is through, Rhett’s parents bring the cake closer to him and instruct him to blow out <\/p>\n
the candle. With a little assistance from Dad, he eventually blows it out after giving it his all.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
Given Rhett’s passion for the candle, you would assume the young child would cry out when the flame was extinguished. <\/p>\n
Not with this kid, though. He was even more thrilled and raised his hands in the air in celebration of his success.<\/p>\n
His mother summed it up best in the caption of the video: \u2018My heart just can’t handle it!!!!!!!He is so amused!<\/p>\n
