Three miles from her house, a two-year-old girl and her two family pets were found dozing off in a remote woodland. <\/p>\n

She was reportedly using one of her pets as a \u2018furry pillow\u2019 while the other dog kept a close eye on her, according to the police.<\/p>\n

In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan’s rural community of Faithorn, an occurrence took place. On a Wednesday, <\/p>\n

Thea, the young child in issue, vanished when her mother, Brooke, momentarily diverted her attention.<\/p>\n

Thea set out on a three mile excursion through the rural landscape with her two canine friends, one of which <\/p>\n

was a large Rottweiler frequently shown on social media. She finally decided to take a nap because she was tired.<\/p>\n

Thea’s worried mother Brooke started urgently crying out their names as soon as she realized her daughter and the dogs had vanished. <\/p>\n

Her relatives and friends quickly joined the search, combing their backyard and the neighboring deep woods.<\/p>\n

At 8 p.m. on that Wednesday, Brooke took the decisive action of getting in touch with troopers from the Michigan State Police’s <\/p>\n

Iron Mountain post after 15 minutes had passed without success. This signaled the beginning of a thorough manhunt to find Thea.<\/p>\n

In addition to 50 local police officers and citizens from Michigan and Wisconsin helping in the search, the troopers used police dogs, drones, and drones.<\/p>\n

A homeowner on an ATV saw Thea dozing off around three miles from her house at midnight. According to the cops, <\/p>\n

she was discovered using her smaller dog as a makeshift cushion as the larger dog kept watch. The second dog’s breed is still unknown.<\/p>\n

She sat down and used one of the dogs as a pillow, while the other dog curled up next to her and kept <\/p>\n

her secure, according to Lt. Mark Giannunzio’s statement on Thursday. It’s a truly amazing story. <\/p>\n

In a Facebook post, Brooke, who had previously posted pictures of Thea with their family’s Rottweiler Buddy, <\/p>\n

expressed her continuous shock: “It was the nightmare I never wanted to live through.” I’m very <\/p>\n

happy that my baby girl is with us at home tonight. She was kept protected by her dogs. I’m still in disbelief. <\/p>\n

Brooke recalled to WJMN Local 3 that as soon as she discovered her toddler was missing, she went to her uncle, asking if he had seen her. <\/p>\n

Brooke was sitting next to Alex as Thea sat on his knee with a bottle. The family began a frenzied hunt, frantically searching the property.<\/p>\n

She added, \u2018We were screaming at the top of our voices calling her name and searching all around the yard, up and down the road. The dogs were also missing, so we were yelling for them.<\/p>\n

Everywhere around here is entirely covered in thick, dense trees, and there is a swamp over there, so of course we are panicking out, Brooke continued.<\/p>\n

Brooke made the decision to call the police after 15 minutes of frantic searching with friends and family, stating, <\/p>\n

\u2018I called the cops because at that point I’m just, I don’t know what else to do besides call the cops.\u2019<\/p>\n

She also got in touch with her husband Alex, who came straight from work home to help with the hunt.<\/p>\n

Upon hearing that Thea had been found safe and sound, Brooke expressed her utter relief.<\/p>\n

\u2018I’m still just in shock.\u2019She literally left in like a split second, and I was shocked.<\/p>\n

Thea was evaluated by medical personnel after being found, and Giannunzio reported that she appeared to be in good health.<\/p>\n

Located 60 miles (97 kilometers) southwest of Marquette, Michigan, and east of the Wisconsin state line, Faithorn is an unincorporated community.<\/p>\n
