<\/p>\nIn 2015, businessman Sunny Upkey created a charitable foundation that sponsored the World Teacher Award. <\/p>\n
The prize is 1 million dollars and is given to the best teacher in the world.<\/p>\n
In 2019, Peter Tabichi, a Franciscan friar from Kenya, a teacher of physics and mathematics, received this honorary title and huge prize. <\/p>\n
The award ceremony took place in Dubai, and the winner was announced by actor Hugh Jackman.<\/p>\n
More than 10,000 applications from 179 countries of the world were received to participate in the competition. <\/p>\n
India, Australia, the USA, Kenya, the Netherlands, Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Great Britain and Georgia made it to the finals.<\/p>\n

A small African village from the desert won surprisingly. This school doesn’t even have basic necessities, but teacher Peter Tabichi gives his whole soul to his students.<\/p>\n
Poor school kids win<\/p>\n
Schoolchildren from the poor school win international scientific competitions.This school has 1 teacher for 58 children, 1 computer, <\/p>\n
there is not even a school bus. Every day, children walk several kilometers to come to school. Even in the rainy season.<\/p>\n
Previously, Peter Tabici worked in a private school, then he received the title of Franciscan friar <\/p>\n
and left his job. He decided to bring knowledge to children who need help and came to the poorest school.<\/p>\n

He gives himself to work, motivates children, inspires. He teaches children to look at things from different perspectives, teaches children to find their hobbies, favorite subjects.<\/p>\n
There are many projects in this school, they were organized by schoolchildren and implemented.<\/p>\n
He is a true teacher<\/p>\n
The teacher taught the children to be active, creative and independent.He created several scientific and creative groups in the school.<\/p>\n
The teacher created a \u2018Military Club\u2019, which was joined by children of different nationalities and religions, and the teacher tells them about tolerance.<\/p>\n
