Additionally, the pair celebrated their respective 103rd and 100th birthdays, which were separated by seven days.<\/p>\n
And their straightforward method for having a long and fulfilling marriage.<\/p>\n
In a Charlotte church, D.V. Williams, 103, and Willie Williams, 100, celebrated their birthdays and <\/p>\n
anniversaries while chanting with friends and family. They undoubtedly deserved the celebration.<\/p>\n

One couple talked about their long marriage, which lasted through the Civil Rights movement and the Great Depression, and revealed the secret to lasting love: compassion. <\/p>\n
Their granddaughter BJ Williams-Green remarked, \u2018Seeing them at this age and so well is still good; it’s just a blessing they’re still here.\u2019<\/p>\n
The couple is now within touching distance of being the oldest married couple in the Guinness Book of Records.<\/p>\n
Miyako Matsumoto, who is 100 years old, and her 108-year-old spouse Masau Matsumoto of Japan currently hold the record.<\/p>\n
