<\/p>\nWhen Amanda was only three months old, bad things happened to her. At that time, she was sick, had a fever, <\/p>\n
her mother applied menthol ointment to the girl, and when she turned away from the diaper, the girl rolled from the couch onto the steam heater.<\/p>\n
The child got serious burns instantly. She was immediately sent to Albany Medical Center’s burn unit.<\/p>\n
In 1977, this photo was published in the annual report of the Albany Medical Center, which soon became popular. <\/p>\n
The picture shows a young nurse, Susan Berger, holding Amanda right after the operation.
\nAs Susan recalls, she had just come to work at this burn center. <\/p>\n

And the baby became almost his first patient. By the way, the girl was very surprised at that time that the child did not cry at all after the operation, did not even sleep.<\/p>\n
The nurse then talked to him while holding him in her arms, so they took a picture. It wasn’t a staged photo, <\/p>\n
and then everyone didn’t care how they appeared in the picture, because at that time they were fighting for Amanda’s life.<\/p>\n
46 years have passed. Amanda Scarpinatti says that every time she feels bad, she looks at this photo. She decided to look for her guardian angel from a distant childhood.<\/p>\n
\u2018After that incident, I had to treat the effects of burns for many years. I had a different attitude towards myself. <\/p>\n
Children made fun of me and avoided playing with me, my friends’ parents didn’t want to invite me as guests, I was too scared for many. And it was very embarrassing.<\/p>\n

What has always supported me, apart from the care of my parents, is this photo full of love. The strange woman hugs me with tenderness, <\/p>\n
which not everyone is capable of with their child. When things got difficult for me, and it happened often, I always looked at our photo and found the strength to be happy again.<\/p>\n

In fact, Amanda has been looking for Susan for years, and when she cried on social media, luck smiled on her. <\/p>\n
Thanks to the fact that her post was reposted by hundreds of people, Susan Berger was found literally the same day.<\/p>\n
