The 21-year-old singer from a small Indiana town took the stage at The Voice and performed Justin Moore’s \u2018If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.\u2019<\/p>\n
According to NBC, his goal in being on the well-known singing competition was to memorialize and uplift his late father. <\/p>\n

He did it, at least based on the judges’ gushing admiration for him and the studio audience’s wildly, overwhelmingly favorable response. <\/p>\n
Gwen Stefani had had enough after a few seconds of his performance. As soon as she heard the young country crooner, <\/p>\n
she pressed her button and turned around in her chair. The country music performer for the evening, <\/p>\n
Reba McEntire, was won over 20 or 30 seconds later. Jackson also received a chair turn from her.<\/p>\n
Early on, it was obvious who Jackson was most likely to choose as his coach. Jackson acknowledged <\/p>\n
during the discussion with the judges that he grew up listening to Reba McEntire’s songs. <\/p>\n
The Indiana teenager also reported having autism. He continued by saying that, \u2018being on the spectrum, music has helped\u2019 him in his life. <\/p>\n

Jackson received a tremendous complement from Reba about his singing talent, which made him very happy.<\/p>\n
Therefore, country music is my life and my foundation, claimed Reba. \u2018I am just so proud to be in the <\/p>\n
country music business and proud that you’re representing us,\u2019 she said after hearing you perform on The Voice.<\/p>\n
In an effort to persuade Jackson to join her team, Gwen presented him her sales pitch. But in the end, Jackson choose Reba to be his show mentor and coach.<\/p>\n
