An online video depicts a 10-year-old girl in Salt Lake City, Utah, as she finishes the Revel Big Cottonwood Marathon, <\/p>\n

shocking her mother by running onto the course. As she goes past, she rushes to her mother and holds her hand as they both finish the race.<\/p>\n

The young woman was unaware, though, that her mother was in dire need of that gesture of kindness at that precise moment. <\/p>\n

According to Courtney Rich, there is an elevation over the last 1.7 miles of the marathon. She sensed the wear and tear on her body.<\/p>\n

Courtney stated, \u2018My legs were just done, but mentally I was ready for it.\u2019 \u2018I sensed that they were reducing their speed.\u2019<\/p>\n

As the finish line began to appear, Courtney refused to give up, no matter how she was feeling. Then, though, something occurred.<\/p>\n

Courtney remarked, \u2018I started to pick it up and I started to sprint.\u2019 When I awoke, my daughter had already fled.I vaguely noticed her from the corner of my left eye.<\/p>\n

When I discovered it was Avery, I couldn’t have smiled more. She reported that her body didn’t feel nearly as worn out or exhausted after that.<\/p>\n

\u2018I extended my hand. She seized it, according to Courtney. \u2018Suddenly, my body felt lighter and my painful legs stopped hurting, and we raced hand in hand to the finish line. It was very unique.<\/p>\n

Courtney learned the value of little, infrequent gestures of kindness from her daughter’s wonderful deed.<\/p>\n

\u2018And I told her, ‘Avery, this is a really great example of how one small thing can have a big impact and inspire so many other people,’she remarked. <\/p>\n

Therefore, never, ever ignore the need or inspiration to perform a modest deed of kindness for someone. Because you never know how that will affect other people.<\/p>\n
