Firestone had billed her an exorbitant $600 to simply check her car’s wiring, which she informed Jenkins about.<\/p>\n

Astonished by the outrageous quotation, Jenkins requested that she open her trunk. Jenkins attempted to reactivate the brake lights with a little tap here and a tap there.<\/p>\n
Thacker found his kindness moving.
\nThough it would have been easy to write her a ticket, he decided to make sure she was secure.<\/p>\n
Later, Thacker wrote on Facebook, \u2018He is a blessing,\u2019 touching many people’s hearts with over 388,000 likes and 90,800 shares.<\/p>\n

Thacker\u2019s full Facebook post narrated the incident in detail:<\/p>\n
\u201cSo this happened just now. I\u2019m on my way to go to my interview this morning when I get pulled. Both brake lights decided to go out this time. <\/p>\n
As he walked to the car and I was pulling out my stuff, he quickly said, \u2018Don\u2019t worry about pulling anything out. <\/p>\n
I just want you to know that your brake lights are out.\u2019 So I\u2019m immediately upset because I just got them replaced like last month. <\/p>\n
So I explained to him how Firestone wants to charge me $600 just to run a test on the wiring of the car. <\/p>\n
He looked at me like [emoji] and told me to pop the trunk. He checked the lights in the trunk and tapped them, but they didn\u2019t come on. <\/p>\n
So he told me to pop the hood to check the relay box then asked me to get out to check the other one. <\/p>\n
He could\u2019ve easily given me a ticket, but Officer Jenkins stepped out of officer role and into mechanic role to make sure I was straight. #HesABlessing\u2019<\/p>\n

Echoing Thacker’s words, the Henrico County Police shared her images and expressed their appreciation for her moving remembrance.<\/p>\n

It makes us extremely proud of our cops, especially when we witness civilians sharing such wonderful things. <\/p>\n
