<\/p>\nWhen it comes to focussing on herself, Kelly Clarkson is having a terrific time.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, while hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 41-year-old singer, who is currently going through a divorce, <\/p>\n
spoke with a guest called Shannen Doherty. During the talk, she divulged some personal aspects about her life.<\/p>\n
\u2018I think I need a little more work on myself in a relationship to make sure that I take care of myself at the same time as somebody else,\u2019 <\/p>\n
Clarkson said, referring to her divorce from music manager Brandon Blackstock in March 2022. Clarkson’s ex-husband was Blackstock.<\/p>\n
\u2018You thought you were going to spend forever with this person,\u2019 Clarkson continued, despite the fact that she <\/p>\n
is \u2018still in the stage of really enjoying me.\u2019 Clarkson elaborated on how \u2018hard\u2019 divorce may be as a result of this.<\/p>\n

Although Clarkson agreed with Doherty, 52, when she mentioned that her dogs provide her with comfort, <\/p>\n
she also mentioned that in the past, they were not allowed to sleep in the bed of the previous marriage. She laughed and said, \u2018Because it’s for fun\u2014that kind of fun.\u2019<\/p>\n
Since I went through a separation and am currently going through a divorce, my dogs have been in <\/p>\n
charge of my bed. \u2018I think that they would despise the next person who came in,\u2019 Clarkson concluded.<\/p>\n
In 2012, Blackstock (the stepson of Reba McEntire and the son of Narvel Blackstock) proposed to Clarkson. <\/p>\n
The following year, they were married. Their son Remington \u2018Remy\u2019 Alexander, who is seven years old, and daughter River Rose, who is currently nine years old, were born during their marriage.<\/p>\n
The American Idol champion filed for divorce in 2020, and two years later, the divorce was finalized amicably.<\/p>\n

The diva held a public Instagram Live conversation with her followers after her September <\/p>\n
visit on the Today show, when she talked about the status of her love relationships.<\/p>\n
Do I have a partner of my own? Never do! and not looking,\u2019 the crowd was reassured by Clarkson. Do you know why, by chance? <\/p>\n
I am very happy that I am single. My two children, two dogs, three bunnies, a hamster, and multiple vocations mean that there is a lot going on.<\/p>\n
During a different segment of her chat with Doherty on Wednesday, Clarkson talked about some of the more emotional experiences she’s had, mentioning the solace she gets from her dog, Henry.<\/p>\n
When Henry came in, he would put his head under my arm and sit with me while I sobbed uncontrollably. <\/p>\n
