At some time, most of us have fantasized about discovering a long-lost relic or hidden riches at a flea market.<\/p>\n

Anyhow, I’m positive that I have. And the fact that there are examples of people doing precisely that gives me even more optimism. <\/p>\n

\nNaturally, there are numerous ways to define \u2018treasure.\u2019 <\/p>\n

Truth be told, ancient family photos and records can be just as precious to the appropriate person as treasure chests filled with gold coins and jewel-studded goblets. <\/p>\n

When most people hear the word, they immediately picture a pirate horde or a treasure chest. These objects almost always have fascinating backstories, if nothing else.<\/p>\n

When Randy Guijarro paid $2 for an old photo album at a yard sale that appeared to contain mostly regular recollections, he was most likely thinking along similar lines.<\/p>\n

Nobody doubted the age of the photos in question\u2014their composition and lack of color alone proved it\u2014but <\/p>\n

none of them realized that one of them included a detail that would have made it an exceptionally rare find.<\/p>\n

Upon arriving home, he started flipping through the pictures when he unexpectedly noticed a well-known face.<\/p>\n

Billy the Kid, one of the most infamous criminals of the Wild West, owned that face. Billy the Kid, whose <\/p>\n

full name was William H. Bonney, was shot dead in 1881 at the age of just 23, having spent his whole life evading punishment.<\/p>\n

A remarkable historical artifact? Yes. However, Randy’s discovery also proved to be incredibly helpful.<\/p>\n

Reports state that the photograph Randy owned\u2014remember, he paid a pitiful $2 for it\u2014may have been worth up to $5 million!<\/p>\n
