Of course, celebrities are humans just like the rest of us, and many of them used to be exactly like us. <\/p>\n
They grew up in humble houses, went to school, and experienced all of the typical ups and downs that come with becoming an adult.<\/p>\n
Not only that, but breaking into the entertainment industry is notoriously difficult, and with showbiz being the unforgiving beast that it is, <\/p>\n
it’s hardly surprising that many young actors and actresses face harsh criticism, with the possibility that any perceived flaws they have will be used against them.<\/p>\n
Just ask Nicole Kidman, who recently went on record recalling how people told her that due to her height, she would never be successful in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
Kidman, whose stellar career has seen her win multiple honors, including an Oscar, said in an interview with Radio Times that it wasn’t always easy for her to become a household name.<\/p>\n
\u2018You won’t have a career,\u2019 I was informed. You’re too tall,\u2019said Kidman.<\/p>\n

\u2018I say I\u2019m 5ft 101\/2in but I\u2019m really 5ft 11in.
\nI was dubbed Stalky and made fun of. \u2018How’s the air up there?\u2019 would be said by others.<\/p>\n
I now get comments like, \u2018You’re so much taller than I thought,\u2019 or males questioning how high my heels ought to be.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Kidman disclosed that her height has caused problems for her knees, despite the fact that others may find her height to be glamorous.<\/p>\n
She remarked, \u2018I’m so thankful to be well and able to move around.\u2019 \u2018Having said that, my height has contributed to a number of my problems, including knee pain and other ailments.\u2019<\/p>\n
The 56-year-old recently opened up about her contentious divorce from Tom Cruise.<\/p>\n
The actress’s admirers will be well aware that Kidman and Cruise divorced just before she was awarded an Oscar in 2003 for her performance as Virginia Woolf in The Hours.<\/p>\n
In the ten years prior to their marriage, Cruise and Kidman had made a name for themselves as one of Hollywood’s power couples. <\/p>\n
They went on to adopt two children, Connor, 28, and Isabella, 31, together. Sadly, it collapsed after a period of eleven years.<\/p>\n

The couple would eventually get a divorce, though Kidman couldn’t have asked for a worse moment for it to end. <\/p>\n
After starring in The Hours, the actress received an Academy Award nomination; however, her divorce with Cruise overshadowed what should have been one of her career’s high points.<\/p>\n
Even though Kidman received her first and only Oscar, she has since stated that her big night was marred by events in her personal life.<\/p>\n
She claimed, as reported by People, \u2018I went home and ended up ordering takeout and eating it on the floor <\/p>\n
of the Beverly Hills Hotel,\u2019 in an interview with author Dave Karger for his new book 50 Oscar Nights. <\/p>\n
My family and I ate a burger and French fries on the hotel floor before I went to bed. I realized at that point. <\/p>\n
