<\/p>\nSofia Vergara disclosed the real reason she and Joe Manganiello parted ways after seven years of marriage, over half a year after they made their divorce public.<\/p>\n
The information was obtained from a recent interview that was originally published in the Spanish daily El Pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n
Vergara, 51, revealed that Manganiello, 47, and she didn’t agree on how big of a family to have.
\nThe Modern Family actress and her first husband, Joe Gonzalez, already had a 32-year-old son.<\/p>\n
Vergara told the newspaper, \u2018My marriage ended because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom.\u2019 \u2018I think it’s unfair to the infant,\u2019<\/p>\n
\u2018That’s not for me anymore, but I respect whoever does it.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother,\u2019she continued, making a statement about her own age. Thus, when love presents itself, he must bring [his own] kids.<\/p>\n
She remarked, \u2018It’s the natural way of things; I’m almost in menopause.\u2019 \u2018I have to let my son bring the baby to me when he becomes a father, then I’ll give it back to him and get on with my life.\u2019<\/p>\n

In July 2023, the ex-Hollywood couple made their split public.<\/p>\n

Manganiello filed for divorce two days after making their declaration, alleging \u2018irreconcilable differences.\u2019<\/p>\n
The True Blood actress has already moved on, but during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Vergara stated she is \u2018single now.\u2019<\/p>\n
