Every morning, Louise and Paul Addison experience something spectacular. Every time they turn on her hearing aid, their four-month-old absolutely deaf daughter squeals with delight, <\/p>\n

and they will never tire of seeing her sweet reaction. The couple’s young daughter, Georgina, was diagnosed <\/p>\n

with significant deafness in September. During the first six weeks of life, the baby was unable to hear.<\/p>\n

Georgina was fitted with hearing aides at six weeks old, allowing her to hear for the first time. <\/p>\n

Every morning, Georgina can’t help but squeal with delight when her parents turn on the device and hear <\/p>\n

her mother’s voice. The baby begins thrashing her arms up and down while sobbing at the top of her lungs.<\/p>\n

\u2018I’m relieved that I’m not the only one who considers it,\u2019 she remarked. Paul, 32, told LadBible, <\/p>\n

\u2018She is immediately delighted and becomes much happier.\u2019 Georgina’s response is so charming and heartfelt that her parents will always remember those amazing times. <\/p>\n

Thus, Paul records Georgina hearing her parents’ voices every morning. \u2018When our daughter’s new hearing aids are turned on in the morning,\u2019 he captioned a video that captured Georgina’s response.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the video, Georgina looks at the camera in silence. Louise turns on her hearing aides and says, <\/p>\n

\u2018Okay, so we’ve just turned your hearing on.\u2019 \u2018Would you kindly greet each person?\u2019 Georgina answers right away with her own long, <\/p>\n

high-pitched \u2018hi.\u2019 You can feel her happiness! Georgina’s disability was initially disclosed to Paul and Louise in Harrogate, England, after she failed her newborn hearing test.<\/p>\n

An audiologist identified her as very deaf and recommended that she wear a hearing aid. Following the doctor’s advice, <\/p>\n

they used the National Health Service to provide Georgina with hearing aids. The baby’s first reaction when mom put them on was pure joy. <\/p>\n

Paul continued, \u2018It was a relief because we saw right away that they were working well.\u2019 \u2018A sincere hope that things could get better.\u2019<\/p>\n

Paul gives other parents of deaf children advice on how to communicate openly about their condition and connect with other parents who may be able to help.<\/p>\n

Engaging with those kinds of folks is really comforting, he added. The viral video gave Louise and Paul access to the experiences and tales of other families with deaf children.<\/p>\n
